Eileen Meny’s 39 is a exploration of her identity as a single, childless, woman the year she turned 40.

She is questioning the ways we most commonly view and value women in imagery; sex symbols, brides, and mothers. 

When you don’t achieve these identities, are you still allowed to be seen? And the tension and heartbreak in the desire and failure of them.
